HR Goals 2008
Financial Operations:
1. Reduce management and baker turnover by 15% in each area to help with company culture and financial impact of turnover.
2. Hire from internal sources 20% of new management positions; this would include shift and assistant manager positions to reduce costs as well as to create a great work environment.
3. Reduce the use of external recruiters and hire 50% of new hires from company recruiting sources to reduce costs.
4. Negoriate a retain benefits that will be a maximum inccrease of 10% from previous year and share the costs with company as well as eligible parties while still remaining market competitive and reasonable.
5. Maintain monthly benefit bills and records to not accrue additional costs for errors in terminations and payroll deductions.
Development:
1. Provide performance feedback and work with Tony to develop better systems to ensure that people receive timely and valuable information.
2. Work with training and Tony to create the environment that fosters internal promotions and internal development.
3. Work with current Assistant Managers and General Managers on service skills in uncomfortable situations with customers and associates.
4. Enhance the baking department so that the next Bakery District Manager position comes from within and is successfully trained and well prepared.
Safety:
1. Continually improve and work on the store safety operations and communications to associates.
2. Provide information on claims and training of such to stores with increased associate accidents and customer claims.
3. Provide evaluations on customer safety in stores to include not only environment but food safety tips.
4. Provide great service to customers who experience an incident in the store in a timely and mutually beneficial manner.
Administration:
1. Continue to fill positions and keep manger load to the 95% at a minimum.
2. Complete paperwork timely for insurance and payroll to ensure associate and Maverick satisfaction.
3. Continue to work on safety, health, and handbook revisions in a timely fashion and communicate to staff on issues that arise.
4. Maintain a detailed and organized filing system for personnel records, reviews, medical information, and worker’s compensation.
5. Complete all employment verifications, requests for information, unemployment, EEOC, or Legal inquiries timely and to the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
