Return to 2008 Goals

·         Continue to grow in my leadership position… I need to continue to work in developing my skills when it comes to managing people. I have to continue to focus on my strengths and stop worrying about my weaknesses all the time. I know what I need to work on but I can’t always focus on the negative side of who I am. I know my strengths and I will continue to help the work place with them.

·         I will continue to help Ben grow in the appropriate areas and teach him the necessary skills to be the best he can be. I’m still learning how to be a great boss. This is the first time I’ve really been someone’s boss and I love the opportunity and will continue to improve my skills while being a great leader and motivator to him.

·         Computer Maintenance tours… Kind of like what Jason did with his Maintenance tours, I would like to start visiting cafés on a quarterly basis and make sure all computer equipment is organized neatly in the office, cabling is managed properly, and POS software is working correctly. Spend some time with the managers and make sure they are all set up for success. I will use Ben to help ease the process in getting to all the cafés in a timely manner so I can still devote my time to other important projects.

·         I would like to have all aspects of accounting integrated with the integration manager into the Great Plains software… this includes Payroll as well. This would greatly benefit the team in Wichita and spare up a lot of time for them to be more productive in other areas rather than spending all their time doing data entry.

·         Store visits… There are a lot of new managers out there and I don’t know all of them anymore since I no longer make the daily phone calls for numbers, IVR’s, etc. I need to get out and make store visits more often to make sure the new managers know me and feel comfortable talking to me when they have issues.

·         I want to be able to make the office environment a fun work place… it is already to me and most of us but also I’d like to step it up a bit more...  during the appropriate times of course! There could be some humor amongst each of us that would give it another exciting twist of working together and I think having that much more of a reason to show up every day could be fun. You never know what’s going to happen!

·         And of course I want to be here for Eric and everyone else on the admin staff. Continue to work on developing my IT skills because that is my strength and use it to make everyone’s lives easier around here. There are still some fears of mine that I need to conquer to help me be a better person for everyone here. My ultimate personal goal is to overcome anything that would hinder me from being the exceptional leader/worker that I know and my friends know I can be. The best part about it is that I have a great team to support me in the process!
